I’ve been using my MacBook Pro now for almost 6 months as my primary computer. Over that time, I’ve tried quite a few apps, some useful and others not.
Here are some of my favorites (in no particular order) that I use.
- Concentrate – Mac desktop application that helps you work and study more productively by eliminating distractions.
- Dropbox – Makes it easy to securely share files with other people, sync them across multiple.
- Flare – Effortlessly add effects and textures to your photos, a fast, easy, and beautiful darkroom for your Mac.
- MindNode Pro – Elegant and simple-to-use mindmapping application for the Macintosh.
- Pomodoro - Antiprocrastination tool for your Mac that helps in Getting Things Done. It is a simple but effective way to manage your time and boost your productivity.
- Reeder – Google RSS reader, originally for iPhone, now available for the Mac.
- TextExpander - Typing utility that saves time and keystrokes. Assign short abbreviations to frequently-used snippets of text.
- TextMate – Powerful tool for programmers, web designers, and anyone else who regularly needs to work with text files on Mac OS X.
- Twitter for Mac – Twitter official Mac app, slick, fast new update to Tweetie.
- Wunderlist – Manages your tasks with a few focused features for organization, all within a beautiful interface and at no cost.
That is all I can think of for now. Curious what other people’s favorite apps are.
